Dress Code

Proper uniform is required for all classes. The students are expected to provide, at their own expense, proper attire and footwear for all classes. This includes but is not limited to, leotard, tights, dance shoes, dance pants, and hair accessories. Students must abide by the designated hair requirements for the class they will be attending. See a full list of proper dance attire here.

Classroom Expectation

Dancers are expected to following the classroom guidelines set by their instructor. These include class structure and transitional times in class as well as respect for teacher/others/property. It is important that these guidelines be followed to avoid distraction, classroom disruption, and injury to self or others. When these guidelines are not followed, our instructors have the right to follow these warning and dismissal procedures:

  • Step 1 - The student will be given a verbal warning to adjust their improper behavior (this may include not participating in class instruction, disrespect to others, or distracting behavior).

  • Step 2 - If the student does not correct their behavior after the verbal warning, the student will be asked to sit and observe class. The student will be given the opportunity to rejoin participation if they can correct their behavior. A student may given this line of correction over three classes before the instructor may move on to step 3.

  • Step 3 - After 3 infractions up to step 2, the student will be sent home with a Behavioral Write Up to inform their guardian of their improper behavior. The student may receive 2 write up’s before they are at risk for removal from the class.

  • Step 4 - When the student receives a 3rd Behavioral Write Up, the student will be asked to leave the class for the remainder of the dance session.
